Sherry McNeily

Hello!  My name is Mrs. McNeily, but my students call me “Mrs. Mc.”  Welcome to my class!  Here is a little information about me.  I received a Bachelor's Degree from Austin Peay State University in Middle School Education.  My husband's name is Tim and we have been married for 22 years.  Our blessings are named Hannah and David. :)

As the new school year begins, I would like to welcome the students to 7th grade World History class, and Reading Language Arts class.  As we explore the historical worlds of Medieval Europe, African civilizations, world religions and many others, the students will be given the opportunity to use their creativity by constructing exciting history projects!   In Reading Language Arts the students will focus on becoming distinguished in writing, as well as learning to analyze different genres of literature.

My students will need a five subject, spiral notebook for History class, and one composition notebook for Reading Language Arts. These notebooks are vital and will be used in class daily. These will be used for taking important notes which will help them study for assessments. The students will also need the following items in class every day:  writing utensils, coloring pencils, glue sticks, and loose leaf writing paper. Please make sure your students supplies are replenished often.

I look forward to a wonderful school year!  Please feel free to contact me at the school (615-382-4166) or via email at [email protected] with any questions throughout the year.  If at any time I feel your student is having difficulties, I will contact you to discuss my concerns.  I would appreciate you doing the same. It is vital that we maintain open lines of communication to ensure a successful year for your student.  It is my desire to see each of them succeed!

Respectfully,

Mrs. Mc
